Reporting a Data Error

Corrections are the most useful messages we receive, and we would rather hear about a discrepancy than have it sit uncorrected. Every figure on this site is computed from the Kenneth R. French Data Library using the formulas published on our methodology page, which means any number here should be reproducible from the source files. If you cannot reproduce one, that is worth reporting.

To help us investigate quickly, please include the page you were viewing, the specific metric and date in question, the value you expected and the value shown, and the source you compared against. When we confirm an error we fix it and note the correction rather than changing figures silently.

What We Can and Cannot Help With

We are glad to answer questions about how a metric on this dashboard is calculated, what a particular factor measures, where the underlying data comes from, and how to reproduce a figure yourself. We also welcome suggestions for additional datasets, corrections to the educational articles, and reports of broken pages or display problems.
